As a volunteer at the Killman Zoo, you can be apart of a unique experience in many aspects of the zoo life – outreach, operations, care, special events, and promotions.
Volunteers are accepted year-round but most orientations are held in the later fall.
All volunteers must be over 18 years of age, and capable of physical labor.
The Killman Zoo also offers a full-time co-op program for high school students. Participants will learn many aspects of animal care and grounds maintenance. Daily jobs will include animal food prep, cage building and cleaning, enrichment care, as well as zoo-grounds landscaping. Students will work alongside the keepers as well as independently.
